The (Im)possibilities of the Citizenship Education in Mexico
Abstract


This paper deals with an aspect of the democratic life, the citizenship education, and is placed in the current condition of the Mexican society and of the political system who limits it on having subordinated to their particular interests instead of serving as an instrument of accomplishment of of living together -founded on the values of democracy and human rights- would transform the social daily relations.

The analysis takes place the federal elections of 2006, which had a relevant effect: they showed the ethical limitations and the deep conflicts that are present in the experience of the democracy in Mexico.

To propose a course of action in the formation for democracy, there is analyzed what is this form of life in general and what is in the constitutional Mexican conception; one affirms that it is necessary to formulate and to emphasize an educational perspective in the social action and out of the school that should promote the democratic values.
