She is an assistant professor at University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro. She received her PhD in Mathematics Applied to Economy and Management from the ISEG-Technical University of Lisbon, Portugal. She has authored and co-authored several works in her main research fields, mathematical finance and critical thinking in higher education. She is a member of the webPACT group. She is an associated member of the CMAT-UTAD, UTAD's pole of the CMAT Mathematics Research Centre, University of Minho, Braga, Portugal.
