Helena Silva

She is an associate professor of Methodology of Science at the Department of Education and Psychology, University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, Portugal, where she lectures teacher’s training courses for different levels of education. She is the Director of Learning and Professional Development Unit: Teacher makes a difference and a consultant of several projects in the area of Training and professional development of teachers from Basic and Secondary Education. She is a member of the webPACT group. Her main research interest concerns cooperative learning; formative assessment; critical thinking; professional learning communities; teacher-student/student-teacher feedback in students' school achievement. He is a full member at the Centre for Research and Intervention in Education of the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto (CIIE-UP), Porto, Portugal.
