Assessment of Innovative Pedagogical Practices in an
Information Systems Graduation Course
Abstract
The use of innovative teaching practices has helped professors in universities, thus contributing to the improvement of undergraduate education. In computing area undergraduate courses, such as the Bachelor of Information Systems (IS), professors have some challenges, such as to motivate students and to link the acquired knowledge with students future professional work, when ministering information technology management disciplines. This paper presents a study on the difficulties faced by IT management professors. We proceed a review of innovative teaching practices use to improve the results of an IT governance discipline in IS course, at Federal University of Ceará (UFC). Results in an interview with all students and assessment of the professor by students in the discipline were promising, indicating good future works.
