Communication strategies to discover and use Open Educational Resources

 
Abstract
 

In some cases, access to information and quality educational materials remains under privileged groups where the humanistic aspect of education lost sense of collaboration. With this overview, spread of the movement of Open Educational Resources it is an answer to decrease the educational backwardness and digital gap.

This article focuses on provide data about communication strategies for discovering and use of Open Educational Resources. Our research question was: What communication strategies can be used to promote the use of OER in an innovative learning environment. It also presents the contextual, theoretical and methodological framework, located within the qualitative paradigm as a descriptive exploratory research. Subsequently, we describe the data collection, application of instruments, results, discussion, and achievement of aims, recommendations and finally, the conclusions. The results indicate among of school communication strategies the use of a communication plan mix interpersonal and electronic communications, with segmentation of public and media and attending to another strategic elements as motivation, clarity of the profits to generate more participation, leadership in the implementation,  agents of change as detonating that improvements in education, teacher attitudes to innovation, institutions as facilitators of technological infrastructure, teachers as mediators and as generators of new teaching strategies using technology, as well as the student's active role in the acquisition of new knowledge.
