.Abstract | ||||
Against the lack of a system of evaluation of teaching performance in Spain, in recent years all the autonomous communities have developed proposals for evaluation of the school directors at the end of thier mandate. This article is an overview of the features of this assessment in 17 communities to obtain some lessons that may be useful for the establishment of a system of evaluation of the teaching function in Spain. It Analyses the objectives and the impact of the assessment of school managers, the elements that are defined, responsible for the evaluation, the instruments used, and the evaluation criteria. From the same eight proposals are formulated to take into account an assessment of the educational function that really contributes to improving the quality and equity of education. |
